Many research work is ongoing, studying the potentials of the Holy Medicine to create peace between various communities. One such study has been undertaken on the potential for the Holy Medicine to reconcile between Israelis and Palestinians, by researchers Dr. Leor Roseman, a postdoc at the Centra for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London, Natalie Ginsbeg, policy and advocacy director for MAAPS, and Palestinians peace activist Antwan Saca. They have conducted over 30 interviews in both Jewish and Arab participants who have participated in many Sacred Ceremonies and giving their feedback regarding their feelings about each other after participation in Sacred Ceremonies – who have participated in Sacred Ceremonies from 10 to more than 100 times.
There are many anecdotes from the study of many Sacred Ceremonies where Palestinian and Israeli citizens both sat together. One anecdote from the study notes – during a Sacred Ceremony, a Jewish Israeli women who had been harassed by an Arab man when she was younger, and that she would be upset at even hearing ‘Arabic’ language. However, she was in a Sacred Ceremony, sitting next to another Arab women, who started praying aloud I Arabic, “Alamin Allah” during the Sacred Ceremony, which triggered the Israeli women’s trauma. However, instead of activating hate, she sent out love and light to the Arab women. Since then, the Jewish women reported feeling much more connected with her Arab neighbours. Themes of oneness, peace from within, connection to “the other” based on shared humanity, and healing the blood-stained Holy Land weave together participants’ stories in the study.
Conclusion
Healing, feeling of ‘peace’ and ‘love’, are fundamental elements in a Sacred Ceremony, where the Holy Medicine is consumed, to meet the Holy and Divine Mother Ayahuasca. The observations in the Sacred Ceremonies under the study are being considered by researchers as very promising towards finding solution to reconcile between the Israelis and Palestinians, with their long histories of rivalry, with the help of the Holy Medicine of the Holy and Divine Mother Ayahuasca.
